- Becoming a Member
- When new people who have participated for a time in Cornerstone decide that they want to join the fellowship, they make enroll in a class that explains the essentials of faith and the life disciplines that are associated with that faith.
When they have completed the class, they may join by professing their faith in Jesus Christ, rededicating their life to Jesus Christ, or transfering by letter from another Christian church.
No matter what method is appropriate, each applicant shares with the leadership a statement of faith, agrees with the essentials of the faith, and the core values of the congregation; promises to participate regularly in the worship and ministry of the church, ...

- Core Values
-
In addition to our Essentials of Faith, which are similar to what other evangelical Christian churches believe, our congregation has adopted a set of Core Values, which help us to prioritize what we do.
As a reformed church, a more detailed picture of what we believe may be found in the Westminster Confession of Faith. In the Catechism, the answer to the question, “What is the chief end of man?” is “The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”
Our Core Values come from an acrostic of G L O R I F Y.
GLORIFY God in all things, by worshiping God in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:24)We believe that spiritual worship involves the deepest ...

- Essentials of Faith
- All Scripture is self-attesting and being Truth, requires our unreserved submission in all areas of life. The infallible Word of God, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is a complete and unified witness to God's redemptive acts culminating in the incarnation of the Living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible, uniquely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, is the supreme and final authority on all matters on which it speaks. On this sure foundation we affirm these additional Essentials of our faith:
1. We believe in one God, the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To Him ...

- History of Cornerstone Community
- Cornerstone Community emerged out of the Confessing Movement that occurred within the mainline Protestant denominations during the time of the turn of the centuries (Twentieth to Twenty-First). As the reformed foundation upon which the old denominations began to give way, as denominational bureaucracies became increasingly hierarchical and theologically diffuse, supporting secular agendas and “politically correct” ideology, Christian leaders, ministers and elders, began to find it necessary once again to “confess” the faith that had originated the church in Bible times and that our Protestant ancestors recalled and proclaimed.
In the fifteenth century, Christians sought liberty ...

- Worship at Cornerstone
-
Worship at Cornerstone is ordered, yet in some ways informal; reformed, yet in many ways ecumenical; centered reverently upon God and His Word, while making room for varied gifts and personal expressions.
Praise and music at Cornerstone blend traditional hymns of the church with contemporary songs and choruses. The hymns of the church testify to the historic reality of the Christian faith as it has come down to us through the centuries. The contemporary songs and choruses shows the Holy Spirit’s present and continuous ministry in the life and hearts of believers.
Our worship ministry team consists of Eric and Jennifer Berg, who lead the congregational praise, and voluntary ...
